Shouldn't a 1995 SK 1831 have an 11 liter OM441LA engine? I thought this was the standard by 1995?

Hi,

the Truck was produced before 1995. Perhaps in 1995 was the first registration, but it is an earlier Truck.
It was normal in the 80s and the 90s that a firetruck was for 1 year or more at the company which mount the fireworker shelter.

OM441 Naturally aspirated V6 engine which yielded approximately 224 hp
OM442 Naturally aspirated V8 engine which yielded 290 hp (approx. 1100 N m of torque)
OM442LA twin turbo V8 which yielded between 350 hp (approx. 1650 N m of torque) (without intercooler) and 500 hp.
The later variants (Released from 1992 to 1998) were classed as EURO 1 Emission standard engines.

OM441 LA Single Turbo V6 engine which yielded 220 hp and up to 340 hp when fitted with an intercooler.

The axle series "7" is the world famous "big axles" with planetary hub gears:
AL7 = front axle
HL7 = rear axle

Axle ratios are:
5,217:1 in differentials
3,478:1 in planetary gear hubs

I bought a very nice 1994 MAN F90 19.372 and today a contact offered me an ACTROS. Now I can't decide if I should buy the Actros that I was searching for or just keep going with the F90. Any experts have thoughts on the two trucks?

Well, I didn't mention first MAN 12.232 i bought. So i think 3 would be too many.

I like the more modern look of the Actros, but I'm worried that it's not going to be as simple to fix myself as the F90.

..

In Germany prices are going down since 2 years. I hope in Your homearea isn't it.
