Well due to age (although done 38,000KMS from new now) and off road twisting the front section of the exhaust system needs to be changed as broken and the box and exit pipe show signs of bad tin worm/rust.

Mercedes said front section (£130)no longer available in stock and the middle box £300 and the back pipe £30 still available.

Several people on the forum have these trucks and has an upright method been done with a flexi hose to avoid breaking behind the two small manifold pipes.

Alternative is stainless at original place and £800

Is the original system there to keep batteries and air tanks warm in wintertime and gearbox oils?

Thanks but there is some confusion!! The vehicle we have is a MB914 AK-31 and NOT A U406 like in the pictures from someone else posting.

Perhaps these should be removed to avoid more confusion and with the English/German translation. I will find the part numbers and post later. Thanks.
