Concept: 5 Persone Iveco 90-16 Aufbau

Hi, I wanted to share with you our concept drawings for a interior layout .

our ideas:
- Living room (sitting + dining) will be in front cabin
- back side - keep original with rolling doors, add op-up roof (80cm / 100 cm). soft sides (tent). Mechanics still TBD. Hydraulic / manual / inflatable ?
- 3 bunk beds for our boys
- 160x200 bed for us adults - can be lifted up
- shower+toilet
- kitchen, fridge
- storage using Eurocontainers (60x40X30 cm) - clothes, food, etc
- original rolling-doors will be kept, if everything is closed, it looks almost original. On the right-hand side, the doors can be opened to reveal the windows and door.
- Room for water tanks, batteries, electrixal, heating, stuff for outdoor storage on left-hand side, accessible from outside behind rolling doors.

We'd like to construct the kitchen so that it can be moved outside; if the weather is nice, we'd rather cook outside.Still have to think of a fancy construction for this.


It's very much a rough concept, as we don't have teh truck yet and have no exact dimensions yet. But its' good to play around and get a feel for the possibilities.

We realized late that we forgot the wheel wells. So some changes will certainly need to get done.

Hi Guido, that looks nice! How do you plan to lift the roof? Hydraulic cilinders, electrical, cables with pulleys? I'm still undecided as to what the best (low cost, compact size, robust, not too complex) solution would be..

Ich habe einen Gurtwickler geplant mit 4 Gurten, welche alle auf einer Welle aufgewickelt werden.
Diese sollen in Hängeschränken versteckt sein.

So no idea about the costs & possibilities. but I certainly like some aspects of it.

I do like your idea as well, i'll try to put it in the cad model to see how much space it will take...

du möchtest die Original Rolläden behalten, (keep original with rolling doors) aber wo ist der Platz für das zusammengerollte Rollo in deiner Zeichnung?

Wir favorisieren im Moment noch einen Teil als festen Koffer zu erhöhen.

Good point Kai! I'll have to include that somewhere somehow. If it takes up too much space, we might just remove the rolling doors and replace it with sandwichboard or something. But I like the the idea that it does not look like a camper when everything is closed.

but think about the space you need for the rolling doors inside the cabin.

We want to that in this way :-)

Dabei ist die hintere für immer geschlossen und der Kasten für die Rolle im inneren wird nicht benötigt.

Moin Ihr 2, habt Ihr schon eine Lösung für die Hubproblematik gefunden? Finde die Idee auch gut, mag es wenn es nahe am Original bleibt. Bin auch grade am plane wie man sowas realisieren kann.

Hello Lampmaker,

you have made an interesting project you. Very demanding, especially if a total of small area for 5 people to be planned.

WIr hatten auch den Wunsch die Originalität des ursprünglichen Fahrzeug zu behalten. Abweichend brauchen wir nur für zwei Personen planen. Wir haben den originalen Aufbau um 400 mm erhöht und die Rollos verlängert. Im Aufbau zwei Schlafplätze, Küche und Bad. Im Fahrerhaus das Wohnzimmer. Im Moment fehlen noch die Möbel für Küche und Schränke. Bei unserem Konzept sehe ich ehrlich keine Möglichkeit für 3 weitere Schlafplätze.

Mit Hubdach und dem Hubbett für die Eltern und Stockbetten sehe ich eher eine Change. Die Rollokästen nehmen erheblichen Platz weg. EIn Forumskollege von unserem Stammtisch plant die Rollos starr zu machen und Seiten dann per Gasfeder als Sonnendach aufzustellen um Tür und Fenster frei zu machen.

Unser LKW sieht momentan so aus in Marschbereitschaft.

Vielleicht können einige Ideen in unserem Tread nützlich für dein Projekt sein. Ich denke mit "Bikerguido" ist jemand dabei, der deinem Ideenkreis am nächsten steht.

wie have rise the cell at 60 cm, because i am 1,96 m tall. Looks ugly but the best way for us. We can use the rolls to protect the windows.

Hi guys,

I forgot to subscribe to this topic, so I'm happy to see the feedback. Nice projects everybody!

I'm not sure if I will keep the rollos. it's nice, but it takes a lot of extra space and weight. And I would like to minimize both..

Here is the current status of the design: A scissor- construction that lifts the roof and beds. If everything is closed, the total height is about 300cm. Putting a roof rack on the cabin makes everything nicely balanced.
If the roof is lifted, there is about 190cm below the bed and 120 cm above the bed. That should be plenty.

the top bed of the 3-bunk beds for the kids also lifts up with the roof. The middle bed can be lifted so we can make it a seating area.

Everything is still very much concept, I don't have the truck yet so I don't know the precise dimensions of the standard box. If anyone can confirm if the measurements below are roughly correct?

Wow, Great Idea. How do you Lift the Roof?

Not sure yet how I will lift the roof. Perhaps starting by adding gas struts to reduce the lifting weight.
Using pulleys or a simple hydraulic cylinder.

Right now, I'm thinking about the sides. Soft sides have a nice tent appearance but will be cold. And not much room to fold the fabric. Hard sides will require a completely different mechanism..

Very nice. You said you are on the concept level. I would just mantion to ask wheather you already made some thoughts about the fenders for the wheels, if you dont want them in your cabin, like on the pictures, the ground of the cabin needs to be way higher...
