Not sure how to do a "Poll" but we need some info please.
1. % of those people on the road in a vehicle for more than 6 months and have sold the fixed abode? (house)
2. % of those who still own an area of land/truck shed to come back to in the home countries?
3. % of those who purchase travel/vehicle insurance that covers world wide?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Truck Travel Poll
How does one go on with items like insurance - banking - documents....... when abroad for more than six months as in the UK this would be classed as "no fixed abode". (If one still has a house with concrete foundation then no issue)

Re: Truck Travel Poll
Woodsman, one major part of your question I've listed as a "survey" in German, as I'm interested in the answers myself...
We sold our house, used my sister-in-laws address during travel (mostly to receive official mail), who also held a "power of attorney" to deal with bank, tax office, and the likes... Next time I would keep the house we're in now and rent it; the situation is different though: our current duplex is small and we don't have any attachment to it (the last house I renovated over a period of 4 years, and more than doubled its price).
We didn't have a vehicle insurance to cover the entire trip, as I don't believe in insurances. This was proven by the the hussle we had with 2 different health insurances during the trip (first year with Teacher Federation Health Fund, then with Worldnomads - a company I would recommend with some reservations).
