I don't think GoPro will be able to show what's going on under the car in realtime, only recording film for moviemaking.
If the river I'll cross is deep and difficult, a camera under the water ould be helpfull.

It's normal to have a camera for watching backwards when reversing.
I would also want a camera under the car, to see what's happening there while driving.
It should be waterproof for crossing rivers etc, and of course shockproof.

I'm told that the Swizz armys problem is because the trucks are so easy to drive that the soldiers threat them as passenger cars.
People owning theyr owns don't do that, hance no big problems.

I'm thinking of a Bucher Duro 6x6.
The original shelter is only 160cm high inside, so I'll have to modify/replace it.
This shelter is 5cm wider and some dm longer, but I think it's small enough.

This koffer construction looks almost perfect for a car I'm looking at. To me the koffer at Unimog Holland seems to be in better condition, though.

I suppose you had cracks in both roof and walls, and that covering only the roof would not be enough.

Interesting vehicle, Pirx.
It weight over 7 ton, so hopefully it'll be possible to remove some heavy stuff.
The engine is only 97kw (132 hp), so I think the engine might be to week.

There are some brown spots on the koffer, indicating that it's made of steel.
With a koffer-length of 6m that might indicate that it'll be to heavy for a camper limited to 7.5 ton.
And there will be a lot of job to defend rust, of course.

Inspection:
Some rust on the drivers cabin (doors) and rims (at least one).
No rust under the front window nor foot well, due to new gaskets.

Some rust under the car, but no oil leakages since all simrings in engine, gearboxes and axles are changed.

According to the seller the LAK has double windows since it has been for offisers.
