Snow Chains Lifespan

I had a new set of Rud Super Greifsteg snow/ice chains with the MB 914 AK-31 truck when we purchased and the current 10R x 22.5 tyres size is now worn and difficult to find now in a good M+S pattern so asked Rud if we can expand the chains to use with 13R x 22.5 but said cannot and special order / 8 weeks to produce. So keep the chains safe from thieves!

I also checked the expected mileage on compacted snow and ice and was told between 3000 and 4000 KMS. That seems very little mileage on chains. Is there an alternative more durable chain product?
