Info magirus 110-17

#1 Beitrag von swillebr » 2013-03-03 7:02:26

Hello everybody,

Since my 16" T3 syncro gets a bit to small we consider building a 4x4 truck. While searching for the perfect truck to match my wish-list some
questions options where found. With these options came some questions and I hope to find some help here!

I like the iveco 80-17 small doka fire truck. Does anybody here have experience or knowledge with this car?

As much as I like the 80-17 I also consider the 110-17 / 110-16 / magirus 168 but a friend told that I never should by the Danish. He had problems looking for parts when he worked at such a car in his garage for a client. From the three 110's which is the best and what are special thing to look at when I go looking at one?

Best regards,

Sjoerd

Depends what you want to do with it. ;)

We own a 110-17, very good value for money, good for what we need it for (it's our "workhorse" for all the rough stuff, transporting firewood, construction material etc.)

How experienced are you with trucks? I'd look at everything you'd normally look at, axles, motor, gearbox, body...

Hello,

I look for a 4x4 truck where I can add a camper box from 4 meter or little longer. I want to use it for offroading in Moroc for example.
Offroad capacity and reliability are important but availability of all spare parts is also very important!

I also do like this truck while i think it is light compared with many others and standard topspeed is close to 100

Which of the 3 is best for parts?

Best regards

In my experience: all of them or none.
To be more precise: standard parts can be bought in standard truck part stores. Non-standard: either you're lucky and can get them at Iveco, or you need to dig a little deeper.

In general I would say getting spare parts is not a huge problem, but then again, our 110-17 never needed anything except some love and care and standard stuff.
