oil for kurzhauber 1113

hallo, which motor oil you using for mercedes 1113 B type?

I was use to 15W 40 for all my old truck engines, but i visit service station last time, and they used inside 5w30. do you think is it ok?

15W40 should be fine. 5W 30 is unusual for this type. MB Service Station???

yes very unusualm but question is if is it ok for engine, I already drive 4 000km, with it, and it looks ok, but i wory if is it ok for long term use

15W40 should be fine. 5W 30 is unusual for this type. MB Service Station???

Mercedes-Benz allows to use a motoroil 10W-30 if ambient temperature is no more than 20°C. For an oil 5W-30 (not in the 1980 list, of course) this will be the same.

In my opinion, it is not OK to use such an oil in central europe, where summer temperature will be much more than 20°C.

thank you for your opinion.. i usualy driving in south europe.... so i change it for 15W40 after winter
